Julia Storch

Since high school, I wanted to work in film, specifically television. I loved the idea of a collaborative writer’s room, of the ebb and flow of roles and voices. At LIMINAL 77, I always want our work to foreground that collaboration. As a woman in the film industry, I’ve had my share of patronizing experiences - men who have tried to make me feel small for working hard and caring deeply about my role. Making sure LIMINAL 77 is a safe environment for anyone who has felt disenfranchised, neglected, or tokenized in this industry is one of my main objectives. I love art that does something new, that subverts previously accepted notions or rules, and that expands what I believe I can do as an artist. I always want to be pushing the boundaries, exploring the outskirts, and platforming my fellow creatives.

I love my dog Lily, going to The Guild, lifting weights, thrift shopping, going to every single concert I’m invited to, and iced americanos.

Julia on the set of Split Mica, being a badass.
